It all started with an extraordinarily happy feeling, a camper van & a scenic drive. Last fall, winding along the north end of Lake Pend Oreille, I was still buzzing from the energy of an herbal festival one state over. I kept thinking about the magic that happens when people share skills, stories, & a love for the land.

Then came the “lightbulb” moment: Why wait expecting someone else to build this? With the knowledge of what makes a festival educational & truly heart-warming—expert-led classes, knowledgeable demonstrations, local nature-based artisans, & a deep sense of belonging—I decided to stop dreaming & start doing. After a bit of planning- here we are.
